Coffee Exchange is going "organic." Which means to say that we are being certified by the USDA as a "certified organic" coffee roaster, insuring not only that all our coffee certified organic, but that all our suppliers of organic coffees are certified organic, as well. We were prepared for the ramifications of this process, and eliminated non-organic coffees from our repertoire, including the very popular Kenya AA.
Now we are faced with a similar dilemma with our teas. While our tea supplier labels his teas in varying degrees of "organic," "mostly organic" and the like, we've been informed that for Coffee Exchange to call these teas "organic," (in the sustainablecoffee.com website) our supplier must be certified as organic, as well. |
